Threat Model
What We Protect Against

- ✓ Undetected modification of model weights or adapters

What We Do Not Claim
- ✕ AI outputs are "true" or "correct"
- ✕ Protection against hardware-level attacks
- ✕ Protection against malicious operators with root access
- ✕ Model safety or alignment guarantees
- ✕ Perfect numerical reproducibility across architectures
Artifact Chain
The draft spec defines a proof pack with cryptographic hashes linking inputs to outputs.

Determinism Requirements
Fixed Seeds
Random number generators are intended to use declared seeds. Seeds are recorded in the proof pack.
Pinned Versions
Runtime, model, and adapter versions are intended to be pinned and hashed. No floating dependencies.
Declared Tolerances
Numerical tolerances are documented. Expected variance is specified per operation.
Note: Bit-exact reproducibility is not guaranteed across different hardware. We specify tolerances and document expected variance for cross-platform deployments.
Energy Measurement Method
Joules per token provides a hardware-normalized efficiency metric. Our methodology is designed for repeatability on macOS.
Measurement Steps
- Thermal stabilization: 5 minutes idle before measurement
- Baseline capture: 30 seconds of idle power via
powermetrics - Workload execution: Run inference with fixed input batch
- Power sampling: 100ms intervals during inference
- Calculation: (Total energy - Baseline energy) / Token count
- Averaging: Report mean of 10 runs with standard deviation
Required Reporting

No Third-Party Collection
Explicit Statement: This website does not include third-party tracking scripts, analytics pixels, or telemetry that reports to external services. AdapterOS is designed without them.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Mixpanel, Segment, or similar services.
Allowed Minimal Logs
Minimal server access logs for security and debugging. IP addresses, timestamps, request paths. Typically retained for 30 days. Not shared with third parties.
